The Alpha Codes of Practice refer to operation under the Electricity Pool post privatisation and became obsolete with NETA in 2003.
- CoP A: For the Metering of Electricity Transfers between National Grid Company plc and Public Electricity Suppliers using the National Interim Metering Scheme
Effective Date: 30 March 1990 - CoP B: For the Metering of Electricity Transfers between National Grid Company plc and Public Electricity Suppliers using the National Metering System at commercial boundaries (known as the “Final Metering Scheme”)
Effective Date: 30 March 1990 - CoP C: For the Metering of Electricity Transfers between Public Electricity Suppliers at Voltage Levels below 132kv (to apply after the Final Metering Scheme date)
